Samsung Electronics will introduce its all-new ‘Smart Hub’ at CES 2013, the largest home electronics exhibition in the world, which will be held in Las Vegas this upcoming January 8th.
Smart Hub is a unique content platform for Samsung Smart TV. This new Smart Hub has an updated design of the initial screen for the users to enjoy not only live broadcasts but also a variety of contents such as movies, apps, and personal photos easily and conveniently on one screen.
In 2013, users can look to Smart Hub for a more intuitive experience with various contents, live TV broadcasts, VOD, apps, internet and such. All this content will be available on one screen divided into five sections, each holding a spot for a different category.
Seonwoo Lee, Vice President of Media Strategy Marketing Team said “2013 Smart Hub will be able to provide the variety of owning five TV’s just with one device” and that “this would provide more convenience of the user experience of smart content such as live TV or apps.”
The five categories are ‘On TV’ for live TV, ‘Movies & TV Shows’ based on VOD contents, ‘Apps’ for various applications, ‘Social’ for SNS contents sharing function, ‘ Photos, Videos & Music’ for personal contents.
One of the most anticipated features is the “Flipping” function that allows you to browse through the five screens with Samsung’s unique motion control function. It might remind you of flipping through the pages of a book, and it provides you an easy way to select your program of choice more easily and with more fun. Just by accessing Smart Hub, you can enjoy all the contents of live TV, movie, internet, and games all in one place.
