Govrnment Starts Live Social Media Conference, MyIndia Initiative
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ( MIandB) on Thursday launched ‘ MyIndia Initiative’, a major digital programme to reach out to the people in the social media space and disseminate the development messages by registering citizens as volunteers.
Information and Broadcasting, Manish Tewari said that the initiativet would enable the government to disseminate information to citizens specially the youth of the country.
“It was a programme rooted in the principles of participative governance leading to real time engagement through the Social Media tools,” said Tewari.
He called upon the youth to be part of the digital volunteer family that would enable the government to have a personalised interaction with the citizens.

In yet another initiative to reach out to the people in shortest possible time, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has planned for the first time, a Live Twitter Conference on the eve of 3rd Community Radio Sammelan, on 8th February at 4 pm.
This will be the first ever such conference by any Ministry of Government of India.
