Facebook has today introduced a new security feature “Trusted Contacts” globally, which allows you to recover your account password through friends that you trust.
You can use this feature by going to your Security section of Account settings and enable Trusted Contacts. You can assign 3 to 5 friend as your trusted contacts, then Facebook notifies those people that you have picked them as your trusted contact. If you ever got logging in issues, you can ask your friend for request security code for you. Once you have three security codes, you will be able to go into your account. You don’t have to answer the security question to recover your password.
Facebook first introduced this feature in 2011 to a small group under the name “Trusted Friends”, but this week Facebook increased the security and launched globally.
