Disney Pixar unleashed a new ad campaign this week for Monsters University, the upcoming prequel to 2001’s Monsters, Inc. Playing off of the movie’s name, Disney Pixar created a website that looks similar to a college admission site.
A new commercial promoting the site — MonstersUniversity.com/edu — aired during the Rose Bowl Parade. In it, student creatures tout the fictitious university’s benefits.
The website has been around for a few months and lets users apply to MU, buy college swag, register for a student ID card as well as learn about alumni, faculty, sports and Greek life.
