Most Anticipated TV Comebacks

Are you ready for exciting nights of cable television? It’s time to circle dates on your daily planner and dust off the DVR because the new lineup for fall shows is being announced. Among these shows are some of the most popular TV comebacks ready to hit the airwaves.

Let’s get started with a few reviews of our old favorites!

Drum Roll, Please
For all the Storybrooke, Maine folks, Once Upon a Time (ABC), a take off on ancient fairy tales, will be back Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. More characters will be transported to the “real world” and memories robbed by powerful curses. Along with the original show, fans will also have the opportunity to view a new spinoff called Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (ABC) on Thursday nights, based on Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Many of us are on the edge of our seats waiting to hear the latest news about the Grayson family and Emily Thorne in the hit seriesRevenge. Emily and Daniel announced their re-engagement to the Graysons, along with the shocking news of their move to Paris. What’s next? Officially renewed on ABC, Revenge begins its third season on Sunday nights this fall.

Singing and Dancing
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready for another spin of Dancing With the Stars, renewed by ABC on Monday nights starting Sept. 16, 2013. The new contestants haven’t been announced, so keep a watch on ABC’s website for a list.

And three audience favorites also return: Officially renewed are The Voice (NBC), The X-Factor (Fox), and later in the year American Idol. If you are a fan of these vocal competitions, you will have almost a full week of viewing with The Voice on Monday and Tuesday nights and X-factor on Wednesday and Thursday. The fall season of The Voice will revert back to the previous judges of Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, and Cee Lo Green. And Simon Cowell of The X-Factor has his angel judges by his side: Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, and Paulina Rubio.

Family and More
Thursday’s prime time lineup is full of family when Parenthood (NBC) comes back this fall season, Sept. 26 at 10 p.m. ET. The Bravermans bring back all their stories dealing with extended family. From autism, to adoption, new babies, cancer and singers at the Luncheonette—who knows what this fall season will bring?

If you’re a business enthusiast or entrepreneur, check out the returning reality show Shark Tank (ABC) on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET starting Sept. 20, 2013. Watch how the tycoons (Mark Cuban, Robert Herjavec , Lori Greiner, Kevin Harrington, Kevin O’Leary, Daymond John, and Barbara Corcoran) wheel and deal with the contestants to make investments.

Fun on Cable
If you have taken advantage of cable TV deals, you will also enjoy a great lineup of returning shows on The CW Network. Dr. Zoe Hart (Rachel Bilson) returns with more episodes of her life in backwater Bluebell, Alabama. How can this gal endure small-town living with big city attitudes, along with her complicated love triangles? Watch Hart of Dixie this fall on Monday nights starting Oct. 7, 2013.

And who doesn’t like a little scary suspense with vampires on their fifth season of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET starting Oct. 3.

These are only a few of the many returning series to adorn our screens this season. Check out a fall lineup of your favorite shows.
